Known giving by individuals, trusts and foundations, and corporate supporters is a key aspect of understanding giving interests. Finding this information can be a time consuming task, especially as many organisations remove old annual reports containing this data after a period of time.

Giftsearch is an online service from FR&C: a searchable online database which is designed to help fundraisers and researchers find fast, reliable information on Australian donations

With Giftsearch you can instantly:
  • Find donations by cause
  • Check your donor’s other philanthropic interests and donations
  • Find donations to a specific charity
  • Build lists of prospects who support a particular type of cause
  • Build lists of prospects who have given to nonprofits in a defined geographic area

Giftsearch provides instant access to nearly 900,000 Australian charitable donations to 350+ organisations, all of them reported in the public domain, and representing more than $16 billion in donations. It is updated bimonthly with the latest information available.

In addition, Giftsearch lists directors, patrons and ambassadors of many of the organisations included. All of the information contained in Giftsearch is from public domain sources including websites,  annual reports, media sources, and the ACNC. Each record contains a link to the original source although we have found that over time, annual report information is moved or removed from websites.
