Molly Masiello, Director and Owner

Molly Masiello has worked in prospect research for more than two decades across Australia and the United States, and has owned and directed FR&C since 2023.

Her career in prospect research includes roles at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and the University of Sydney, preceded by positions as a librarian at the Los Angeles Public Library and the State Library of Western Australia. She joined FR&C as Research Manager in 2014 before acquiring the business.

Molly co-authored Understanding Major Donors: A Guide to Prospect Research for Australian Fundraisers, the only book of its kind written specifically for the Australian sector. She presents regularly at sector conferences including the Fundraising Institute Australia (FIA) Conference and Educate Plus. An inaugural board member of Apra Australia, she remains actively involved in the prospect research community, including contributing to the development of AI policy and guidance for the profession.

Privacy, data security, and ethical practice are central to Molly's approach to prospect research. FR&C's work is grounded in the responsible use of lawful public domain information, conducted in accordance with Australian and New Zealand privacy legislation. Molly believes that rigorous ethical standards are not just a compliance requirement but a professional obligation — and that well-conducted prospect research, far from being intrusive, enables fundraising teams to engage with prospective donors in a way that is informed, proportionate and respectful.

FR&C works exclusively in prospect research and has supported more than 700 organisations across universities, hospitals, independent schools, arts organisations and nonprofits throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Nick Wall, Data Administrator and Researcher
Nick joined FR&C in January 2019 as Data Administrator and Researcher bringing with him robust experience in database and records management, prospect profiling and preparing grant proposals. He previously held prospect research management and grant writing positions with the University of Newcastle.

​Prior to this, Nick worked extensively in the admission and coordination of  international students at UoN. With a strong working background in the mental health sector as a psychologist, he worked closely with not-for-profit organisations such as the Schizophrenia Fellowship of NSW. He combines his work at FR&C with his legal studies.
Nick is based in Newcastle.

Kathleen Evans​
Kathleen has provided freelance research and data services to FR&C since its early days, pausing briefly  to have her two children, and now works with us from her home on the NSW south coast.

Charlotte Grimshaw, Founder and former Principal​
Charlotte has more than twenty years’ experience in the voluntary sector in Australasia and the UK. She founded FR&C in 2003, specialising in prospect and donor research, donor development and major gift/prospect management consultancy. 
She retired in March 2023.

​Work in the UK included Marketing and Fundraising Director for Greenpeace UK, Head of Individual Giving for the Royal Shakespeare Company, and extensive public speaking at the IFRW and UK fundraising conferences. For Greenpeace International she worked as Regional Fundraising Consultant    for the Asia-Pacific region. She was a board member for Greenpeace UK 2011-2018
